The post I created with the skyline of Zandvoort as seen from my window leaves much unsaid. At Zandvoort itself there is the beach, which is particularly beautiful some five kilomaters to the North, at Bloemendaal aan zee, or better even Parnassia. During ebb, the beach is wide and depending on the wind and period there may be jellyfish, razor clams and of course some debris. Between the sea and my window stretch the dunes, to the north the National Park Kennemerduinen, to the south the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen. To get an impression of this lovely region I have selected a few images, which you can access by clicking the strip below.

So many sides of the beauty of our small country the Netherlands!
The light plays in your photographs the main role.
Branches, animals and even humans have their part.
So close living to this, inspires you to compose these images.
The eyes are searching for truth.
This truth gives us peace.
This lets us forget our pains.
The joy of living is therefore intense.
The best present and even better
than the best chocolates !!!
Many pleasant moments with Wim and Marilene, and on the beach. I remember when you and Joep were working on some project, and I was near the end of my pregnancy, we would come to you daily from Amsterdam and while the men “worked” Marilene and I would bask in the Netherlands sun, not too common, on the beach. Swimming in the North Sea was a refreshing challenge and one had to keep moving to stay warm, but I cherished it. The day always ended with some great meal at your place. Be well, solve all your health problems, I have a few going on myself, rather shocking as I approach the big zeven zero. I’m now fortunate to also live in the countryside, next to a huge waterfalls, creek and lake. You’ve given me an idea of what to do with my zillions of nature photos.
