How are you?
Well, perhaps this question is not so urgent if we saw each other recently. Or mailed. Or spoke on the phone. Perhaps even facetimed. But perhaps we didn’t have any contact at all since my last mailing in January.
As you may know I’m not on facebook. I was when it started, but left long ago. Are you? 
I am vaccinated since May. Are you? If you’re not you should really try it. Great fun. And you really help other people not getting contaminated. And if everybody is vaccinated we can finally be free again. As a scholar I believe in the academic discipline, I believe in science. As such, for me there is no good reason not to take the jab. In the past, traveling to far-away countries we had to take all sorts of vaccinations. If you didn’t want to be vaccinated you didn’t get on the plane or the boat, or cross the border.
This past year has still been dominated by the virus, although in some regions the results of climate change may have been more preoccupying. My last post was about the Ahr valley, which is now completely destroyed.
Traveling has been quite impossible till the middle of the year and even after there were inconveniences. But nature has been very beautiful for me, and I even had the privilege to see some marvelous art. The button below links to my new web page, it is only a small sample.
